I adored Ingrid from day one, minute one. As freshmen “pledges” in our sorority, we played an ice-breaker game where everyone was asked to take some toilet paper from a roll and hold onto it. It turned out that for every single sheet we took, we would need to tell a fact about ourselves. Thankfully for the group, Ingrid took a whole lot of toilet paper. When it was her turn to speak, she rattled off fact after hilarious fact about herself. I watched in awe. We all did. Her energy. Her laugh. It was all so infectious. We became friends that night, and I felt so fortunate to be her friend from that day forward. She was the smartest, funniest, silliest, most sophisticated, most passionate, most empathetic and loyal friend. She was magic. I will cherish my friendship with Ingrid forever. P.S. This photo is one of only two times in my life that I sang karaoke on a public stage. And here I am, on the left, singing my heart out. ONLY Ingrid could get me singing like that. Thanks for letting us sing along, Ingrid. We love you always. Love, Melissa Sher Horwitz
